For over 10 years Anna’s Challenges have done a huge amount to support the children and families under the care of the CF team at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire Country Hospital, including activity vouchers for family days out, sports equipment for homes, grants for out of school physical activity groups, funded CF specialised courses for the medical care and physiotherapy teams as well as furniture and food & drink facilities for the ward, craft trolley, iPads, Xbox Kinect, a laptop and televisions to help keep the children active and entertained as well as being able to keep up with school work during long admissions. Sadly Anna’s Challenges could no longer continue but we couldn’t let their great work and support come to an end – and so CF Superkids is born! A HUGE thank you to Anna’s Challenges for all of the amazing work they’ve done over the years, allowing us to continue it and all of the help they’ve given in helping us get up and running.

CF Superkids are committed to continuing this great work, along with your support we can make this happen.

We have loads of great fundraising ideas and will be holding two annual events each year; a summer party and a winter ball, keep an eye on our events page to see what’s coming up. Sadly children with Cystic Fibrosis can’t interact with each other so we’re limited on what we can do in terms of family fundraising events so it’s up to us grown-ups to have a great time and raise lots of money!

We’re always looking for people to take on sponsored events, Lauren and Sarah have previously taken on the Five Peaks and The Test Way – watch this space to see what we’re crazy enough to do next time! If you’d like to take part in an event or would like to do your own challenge or event to support CF Superkids please get in touch.

How We Can Help

Physical Activity Grant

Physical activity is vital when living with Cystic Fibrosis for many reasons, including to help keep the airways clear. We offer children an annual activity grant to encourage them to keep as active as possible, whilst doing something they enjoy.

For full details on what we offer and the Ts&Cs please contact us via email, Facebook or the Contact Us page.

To apply for the grant, please discuss with authorised members of the CF team (CF Physiotherapists of the CF Consultant) so they can authorise the particular activity and sign the form. Once it’s returned to us we can arrange payment; either directly to the supplier or reimburse you.

For any questions please either contact the CF team or contact us here.

Travel Grant

Specialist appointments are sometimes necessary at other hospitals (other than North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke or Royal Hampshire Country Hospital in Winchester), if these appointments are CF related we can help with the cost of travelling to these appointments either by train or car.

To apply for the grant, please discuss with an authorised member of the CF team who will review the request, once authorised and the form is signed by them and returned to us we can arrange payment by bank transfer. Please ensure all receipts are kept and a copy attached to the form when applying. To request the form please contact us via email, Facebook or the Contact Us page.
